Thanks Jamie. It's a shame to choose less-productive counterparts to tools, just to keep the developers inside their comfort zone. Maybe it's perceived to be more cost-effective from a training standpoint, but it doesn't inspire growth.

Sometimes we are stuck with an inefficient toolchain based on decisions that may have made sense at the time. There's no easy answer for that, and can be an article all on its own.
