Great points in the article and you have a good attitude towards wanting to solve bugs, that more of us should have.

I also like digging into them at times - sometimes even the nasty ones, because finding root causes is the ultimate truth-seeking in software. Only to a point, however…

My morale will start to sink if I believe that repeat clusters of bugs in hotspots could have been prevented, were it not for flaky architectural design or lack of proper testing.

It’s great if you learn how to prevent them, but bad if you’re stuck with an architecture (and rushed internal processes) where they thrive and multiply.
