Congratulations. To not have imposter syndrome would be to let the success get to your head, so I’d say you’re on the right track.
Time isn’t always the best measurement of experience, and some types of experience aren’t always the best example of career seniority. If I were a hiring manager I know exactly what I’d look for in a Senior and you’re definitely right about the soft skills.
It took me 9 adult years of hobby programming before landing a full-time corporate position and another 6 years to land a Senior title (by switching employers). And a few years later I’ve met Seniors who didn’t know things I was taught as a Junior, nearly 10 years prior. A couple of years later, I am still learning things that give me imposter syndrome for not knowing.
I guess my point in all this is that we’re all in different places down our path, as a colleague once told me. When the right strengths shine through at the right company, a truly hard-earned seniority will empower you and take you places.
